Nina, Mark, and I had the best couple’s sunrise session in early June near Boulder, Colorado! Sunrise sessions can be quite a commitment, especially when putting on nice outfits and doing hair and makeup, but I always promise that the lighting and solitude is worth it…this session did NOT disappoint! Their sunrise session
We met at the trailhead at 5am which meant a 4am wakeup call for everyone. Not always the easiest or most fun, but we were greeted with no other cars at the trailhead, which was definitely worth the early morning! Nina and Mark also surprised me by bringing along the cutest pup, Captain! He frolicked around us the entire shoot, hamming it up for the camera and getting out all of his morning energy. It was absolutely amazing. I always love when couples bring their furry friends with them, because it adds such a fun/organic element to the shoot!
The sunrise was absolutely stunning as we made our way up the rocky trail to the summit. Mark and I kept pointing out different peaks for Nina and we shared some of our favorite trail stories and took pictures of the alpenglow hitting the peaks. Our time shooting was full of laughter, games, and time to sit back and enjoy the beautiful view we were experiencing without another soul around. It was really surreal. Once the sun was up in the sky, we made the short trek back to the cars and headed on our separate ways intent on experiencing sunrise more often! A 10/10 way to start the day!
